Research & Development

MedicWave AB was founded in November 2005. However, some of MedicWave's products contain state-of-the-art algorithms that have been in development since the beginning of 2001, algorithms that are an important part of MedicWave's products today.

The core competence of the company is in state-of-the-art mathematical algorithms, artificial neural networks, statistical methods, machine learning, data mining and protein analysis applications in the drug development process.

MedicWave collaborates with several renowned research groups from around the world, where innovative algorithms and analysis methods are developed with focus on mass spectrometry and proteomics. However, our in-house research and product development is performed in Sweden and Poland, and our main research and development in Poland is based in the city of Wroclaw.

R & D during 2008

Between March 2008 to January 2009 MedicWave invested 27 765 hours into research and development, by employing between 24-30 researchers and programmers in Sweden and Poland.

R & D during 2007

Between May 2007 to February 2008 MedicWave invested 33 598 hours into research and development, by employing more than 30 researchers and programmers in Poland and China.

R & D until 2006

MedicWave has invested 48 460 hours in research and development between 2001 and 2006 into the company's first product named PDS™. MedicWave has several research and development laboratories, mainly in Sweden, Poland and China, dedicated to algorithm- and software development.
