Medicwave Bioinformatics Analytics™ (MBA™)

MBA™ is intended to encompass all phases of SELDI and MALDI Mass Spectrometry data analysis using both classical as well as the most recent and advanced methods. MBA™ offers state-of-the-art analytical methods blended with attractive data visualization, and reporting capabilities.

MBA™ is a complete web-based data analysis system, but it is also thought as a prototype for the MBS™ software package.

Currently available are the following analyses:

  • Descriptive analysis and visualization (different variants: one-, two- and multi-dimensional analysis)
  • Biomarker detection methods based on feature ranking
  • Classification cancer / control (with performance evaluation)
  • Cluster analysis (clustering either samples or features)

Currently, tools for peak extraction and pre-analysis processing of SELDI/MALDI data are not included in MBA™. We recommend using the PDS™ software for this purpose.
