Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Michal Lysek

Michal Lysek has mainly focused on computer science during his education. He has several degrees, i.e. M.Sc. with a major in Computer Systems Engineering and specialization in Intelligent Systems, B.Sc. in Computer Systems Engineering and specialization in Embedded Systems, and B.Sc. with a major in Electronic Engineering. Michal has several years of work experience in hardware and software development. Michal has also completed courses in Economics, Marketing, Graphical Design, Mathematics and Medical Technology for Engineers. Michal started to work on what would later become MedicWave very early on, and in 2005 the company was finally founded by him and his colleague Tobias Person. Michal has several years of experience in establishing collaborations with scientific or development partners.

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Tobias Persson

Tobias Persson has focused on computer science during his education. He has several degrees, i.e. M.Sc. with a major in Computer Systems Engineering and specialization in Intelligent Systems, B.Sc. in Computer Systems Engineering and specialization in Embedded Systems, B.Sc. with a major in Electronic Engineering, and B.Sc. with a major in Information and Communication Technology. Tobias has several years of work experience in hardware and software development. Tobias has also completed courses in Physics, Mathematics, Medical Technology for Engineers and Mechatronics. Tobias has worked with Michal Lysek since the year 2001 and he co-founded MedicWave together with him in 2005.


Business Controller

Karl Hillgård

Karl Hillegård has studied entrepreneurial economics at Lund's University between 1995 and 1997. Karl has been involved in different entrepreneurial ventures since 1988. In the beginning of 2006 he became a shareholder and board member of MedicWave AB. Karl is working for MedicWave AB as a Business Controller.

Vice Business Controller

Cristian Hallin

Cristian Hallin has a technical educational background, but has also studied economics and marketing. In addition, Cristian is an entrepreneur. In 1994 Cristian became the CEO for National Plast, and between 1996 and 2001 he joined with VPAB. In 1999 he founded MedicPen AB. In 2005 he became a board member of the Organisation for Health-technology, and in the beginning of 2006 became a shareholder and board member of MedicWave AB.


Sales Manager

Pehr Rehnberg

Pehr Rehnberg has a B.Sc. in International Business. He has 16 years of work experience in international marketing and sales and 5 years of experience working abroad with focus on building up markets in the west, east and middle Europe, and in Canada. In 1994-1995 he worked as Product Manager for Jobst GmbH, in Emmerich, Germany. In 1996-1998 he worked as International Product Manager for Chromogenix, in Mölndal, Sweden. In 1998-2002 he worked as International Product Manager and Business Unit Manager in Germany for Astra Tech, Mölndal, Sweden. Between 2002-2007 he continued to work for Astra Tech, first as Area Manager and Export Seller, then as Sales Manager, and then as Project Leader. Between 2007-2008 he worked as Sales Manager for Bactiguard AB, in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2009, Pehr was employed as Sales Manager for MedicWave AB.

Chief Science Officer (CSO)

Artur Suchwalko

Artur Suchwalko received his M.Sc. in 1997 for two specializations: financial and actuarial mathematics, and mathematical computing. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2004 with a specialization in optimal stochastic control from Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland. His research interests were concerned foremost with Data Mining methods and Pattern Recognition techniques. He is an author and co-author of about a dozen of scientific publications, an experienced academic teacher (programming, statistics, data mining), and supervisor of over 40 M.Sc. and B.Sc. theses in mathematics and computer science. Since 1998 Artur has been working for the Credit Risk and Analysis Department of Lukas Bank in Wroclaw, Poland. His main duties are building statistical and stochastic models for risk management: forecasting for budgeting purposes, credit scoring, and operational risk. In 2007-2009 Artur worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Metrology in WUoT. He is also a commercial instructor in data analysis and credit risk management. Artur has been collaborating with MedicWave since the beginning of 2006 as a project manager for R&D projects. In 2009 he became MedicWave's Chief Science Officer.
